Spartz announces nominees for U.S. military academies from Indiana’s Fifth District

Rep. Victoria Spartz has announced the list of high school seniors from Indiana’s Fifth District who have received nominations to attend United States military academies in 2025. The announcement highlights students who will be considered for admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

“It is a true honor to nominate these exceptional students. They represent the best and brightest of our district, demonstrating the talent, drive, and commitment to service that our district and our nation holds dear," said Rep. Spartz, "I am confident each of them will excel in their academic and military careers and make meaningful contributions to the future of our armed forces.”

The nominated students come from several area high schools including Hamilton Southeastern High School, Carmel High School, Monroe Central High School, Westfield High School, Yorktown High School, Achieve Virtual Academy, Taylor High School, Guerin Catholic High School, Mississinewa High School, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, and Culver Military Academy.

Victoria Spartz has represented Indiana’s 5th District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the Indiana Senate from 2017 to 2020. She was born in Nosivka, Ukraine in 1978 and currently lives in Noblesville. Spartz graduated from Kyiv National Economic University with a bachelor’s degree in 2000.
