On March 4, 2025, Spartz addressed the Ukrainian people and supporters of President Zelensky with a proverb highlighting economic and intellectual challenges. She posted "All I can say to the Ukrainian people and supporters of Zelensky here is: 'Чому ми бідні, бо дурні. А чому дурні - бо бідні.' Translation of this proverb: 'Why are we poor, because we are fools. Why are we fools - because we are poor.'"
