Victoria Spartz, a U.S. Congress representative for Indiana's 5th district, posted a series of tweets on April 8, 2025. Spartz, who has been serving in Congress since 2021 and has Ukrainian roots, commented on recent events involving Ukraine and Indiana's energy policies.

In a tweet posted on April 8 at 14:00 UTC, Spartz sharply criticized Ukrainian leadership and suggested possible implications involving The Telegraph: "See Rep. Spartz’s statement on the recent fabricated headline by the Telegraph. Unfortunately, if you have morons and crooks like Zelensky and his puppet parliament running your country, it’s a lost cause. Putin might be evil, but he is not a moron."

Later, at 14:32 UTC on the same day, Spartz further expressed her skepticism about media integrity and loyalty within Ukrainian leadership: "I would not be surprised that @ZelenskyyUa is paying @Telegraph to fabricate false headlines to continue making money on the blood of the Ukrainian people. I am proud of my Ukrainian heritage of the real warriors - not cowards in Zelensky mafia wiping out patriots," Spartz remarked in her tweet.

In a different context, Spartz praised her state's potential in developing nuclear energy. In a message shared on April 8 at 17:13 UTC, she stated: "Indiana is uniquely positioned to be one of the nation’s leaders in nuclear energy. I appreciate @GovBraun and Secretary Suzie Jaworowski for their leadership on this issue!"
